For species identification see von Ellenrieder & Garrison (2005). Only one species ( Fig. 82 View FIGURE 82 ) has been recorded for Ecuador with certainty, but a second, undescribed species has been discovered. Habitats appear to be restricted to mountain seepage streams and bogs; nymphs of some species may be semiaquatic, hiding under rocks or moss.
