Lestes alacer Hagen, 1861 . Reported by Campos (1922) from “Posorja” and El Oro (Campos 1927). This Central American species surely does not occur in Ecuador. These references are probably either L. tenuatus or L. forficula , the only two species verified for the west slope of the Andes.
Lestes henshawi Calvert, 1907 . Publ. Recs. ECU: Soukop (1954), Paulson (1983), Tsuda (1986); PA: Kennedy (1942b— ♀, described). These are all Lestes apollinaris Navás, 1934 according to Donnelly (1996) since Lestes henshawi is known only from Costa Rica.
Lestes minutus Selys, 1862 . Reported by Campos (1922) from “Posorja”. Unlikely since it is an Atlantic coast species listed from BRA, COL, GUF VEN, TTO: (H08), (P11).
Lestes striatus Selys, 1862 . Synonym of Lestes forficula Rambur, 1842 .
