Type locality

Additions to original description

Lateral process of labial palp slightly curved, as thick as normal chaetae, with tip reaching beyond apex of labial papilla; four chaetae associated with the same papilla ( Figure 4A View Figure 4 ). Chaetae of labial base as M 1, R, E, L 1, L 2, all smooth; R 0.7 times as long as chaeta M 1; X and X 4 as smooth microchaetae; chaetae X 2 and X 3 absent ( Figure 4B View Figure 4 ). Trochanteral organ with 12–16 smooth spiny chaetae; 10–11 in the arms of “L” and two to five between them ( Figure 4C View Figure 4 ). Ventral tube posteriorly with two apical and two spine-like smooth microchaetae; each lateral flap with seven smooth and up to three ciliate chaetae ( Figure 4D View Figure 4 ). Dorsal macrochaetae shown in Figure 4E–H View Figure 4 . Th. II with three (m1, m2, m2i) medio-median, two (m4, m4p) medio-lateral, about 17 posterior macrochaetae and three lateral S-chaetae; p4–6 as microchaetae. Th. III with 24 macrochaetae and two S-chaetae; p5 as microchaeta; m6e as macrochaeta and m6p as mesochaeta. Abd. I with five macrochaetae centrally (m2i, m2–4, m4p) and two S-chaetae laterally. Abd. II with three (m3, m3e, m3ep) central, one lateral (m5) macrochaetae and two S-chaetae. Abd. III with one central (m3), three lateral (am6, pm6, p6) macrochaetae, and two S-chaetae. Abd. IV with four central (A3, A6, B4–5) and four lateral (E2–4, D3) macrochaetae; D3 and E4 slightly smaller than other two macrochaetae. Abd. V with three S-chaetae; macrochaetae m2, m3 and m5 much larger than others; p3a, p4a and p5a absent.

Ecology

Cave species, mostly on bat guano.
