Conservation: IUCN / SSC Action Plan (1992) – No Data: Limited Distribution as N. macdonaldi neocaledonica . IUCN 2003 – Not listed.

Discussion: Included in macdonaldi by Sanborn and Nicholson (1950) and Hill (1983), but distinguished by non-overlapping measurements in most dimensions; see Sanborn and Nicholson (1950) and Flannery (1995 b).
