Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 12-17 ) wingspan 14.5–18.0 mm. This species is superficially similar to N. erratica Meyrick, 1911 and N. furmata Oku et Sakamaki, 2018 . It differs from N. erratica in the male genitalia by the ventral margin of the valva convex medially ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 24-30 ), whereas the ventral margin of the valva is smooth in N. erratica ( Clarke 1965: 186, Pl. 93, Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ). It can be distinguished from N. furmata by the dark brown discocellular stigma on the forewing, whereas it is white in N. furmata ( Oku et al. 2018: 108, Figs. 3 View FIGURES 2‒3 , 4 View FIGURE 4 ).

Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Henan, Hubei, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Sichuan, Taiwan, Tianjin, Yunnan, Zhejiang).

Variation. In some individuals, a tubular structure extends from the anterior margin of the ostium bursae into the ductus bursae in the female genitalia ( Fig. 33a View FIGURES 31-34 ).
