New records
One male, La Palma, Parc National de la Caldera de Taburiente, Barranco de las Traves, 1068 m, 20 September 1999 (T. Domingo-Quero, MNCNM – 19-149). Five females, Tenerife, Los Realejos (Finca Hoya Meleque) (Instituto Canario de Investigaciones Agrarias), from a culture of the beetle Cosmopolites sordidus (Curculionidae) , 23 February 2005 (A. Padilla, CUMZ – 10-148).
Natural history
The larvae feed on dead insects, including the refuse of such in the nests of ants, wasps and termites.
