Material examined. Three females, Taşucu village, Silifke-Mersin, on Pallenis spinosa (L.) CASS. ( Asteraceae ), 23 April 2014; 10 females, Buldan county, Denizli, on Anchusa sp. ( Boraginaceae ), 10 May 2014. Specimens are deposited in the mite collection of the Acarology Laboratory, Department of Plant Protection, Çukurova University, Adana, Turkey.
Female (n=10). Idiosomal seta lengths: j1 15 (13–18), j3 22 (20–23), j4 15 (13–18), j5 13 (10–15), j6 14 (13–15), J2 20 (18–23), J5 11 (10–13), z2 23 (20–25), z4 23 (20–25), z5 14 (13–15), Z1 24 (23–25), Z4 44 (40–48), Z5 52 (48–55), s4 34 (33–35), S2 34 (33–35), S4 29 (25–30), S5 22 (20–23), r3 22 (20–23), R1 22 (20–23), JV5 45 (43–48). Leg setae: Bt IV 65 (63–68).
Remarks. This species is known from Greece ( Stathakis et al., 2013) and Turkey (this study). Morphological characters and measurements of the Turkish specimens are very close to those of the original description.
