Vernacular Names: Vordermann's Flying Squirrel.

Synonyms: Petinomys phipsoni (Thomas 1916) .

Distribution: S Burma, Thailand, Malaya, Borneo.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: McKenna (1962) considered vordermanni representative of an undescribed genus, but Muul and Thonglongya (1971) and Hill (1961 c) retained it in Petinomys .
