Holotype Material. National Museums Scotland, G.2010.30.3. Well preserved female inclusion with tarsi separated and partially lost, in Fushun amber, lower Eocene. Donated by the late Mr. Ma Shilian.
Etymology. The species is named after Mr. Ma Shilian who very kindly gave the specimen to AJR, though sadly now deceased.
Locality and horizon. Fushun City, Liaoning Province, NE China; lower Eocene.
Description. Female ( Fig. 1A–H View FIGURE 1 , Fig. 2A–J View FIGURE 2 ). Body (with ovipositor) 4.0 times longer than antennae.Antennae 1.5 times shorter than wings. Head with large eyes, width 1.8 times as long as height of head. Pedicel slightly broad, 1.2 times as wide as long. 2 nd flagellomere almost as long as 1 st. 5 th flagellomere 1.3 times as long as wide, slightly shorter than 1 st flagellomere, basal enlargement slightly narrowed medially, neck very short. 10 th flagellomere narrowed apically, almost as long as 9 th and 1.2 times shorter than 5 th. Palpus very narrow, palpomeres cylindrical. 4 th palpomere strongly prolonged, 1.3 times as long as 3 rd one. Wing 1.9 times as long as width. Vein R1+2 is 1.6 times shorter than wing length. Vein Rs more than 4 times longer than projection R1+2 from Rs to point of fusion with C. Fore femur 1.1 times as long as fore tibia. Ratio of fore tarsi 1:4.1:2.0:1.6:1.3. Hind femur 1.6 times as long as fore femur, 1.2 times as long as hind tibia. Ratio of hind tarsi 1:6.4:2.9:1.6:1.3. Hind tarsi 1.3 times as long as fore tarsi. Length of ovipositor (8–10 segments) 4.2 times as long as width of 8 th abdominal segment.

Body length, 1.93; antennal length, 0.48; height of head, 0.15; width of frontal side of head, 0.28; palpus length, 0.22; thorax length, 0.33; wing length, 1.45; wing width, 0.76; vein R1+2, 0.77; halter length, 0.33; length of fore leg: coxa, 0.09; trochanter, 0.07; femur, 0.36; tibia, 0.44; metatarsus, 0.07; 2 nd tarsomere 0.29; 3 rd 0.14; 4 th 0.11; 5 th 0.09; fore tarsi 0.70; length of hind leg: coxa 0.09; trochanter, 0.07; femur, 0.56; tibia, 0.48; metatarsus, 0.07; 2 nd tarsomere 0.45; 3 rd 0.20; 4 th 0.11; 5 th 0.09; hind tarsi 0.92; abdomen length, 1.38; length of narrow part of abdomen (4–10 segments) 0.83; width of 0.19; length of ovipositor (8–10 segments) 0.19.
