Type locality.

[Brazil, Edo. Rio Grande do Sul] “Rödersberg” [Sao Leopoldo].

Label.

“Rödersberg / S. Brasil", with a second, taxon label also in Martens’ handwriting.

Dimensions.

"Long. 24, diam. 6 1/2 (...) Mill."; figured specimen herein H 21.5, D 6.38, W 7+.

Type material.

ZMB 14543, three syntypes; R. Hensel leg.

Remarks.

Martens mentioned "drei mir vorliegenden Exemplaren", corresponding with the three specimens found in the ZMB collection. The largest specimen, of which the top is damaged, is here figured; it probably would have corresponded to the measurements given by Martens if it had remained undamaged. The current systematic position is after Simone (2006).
