Yunga cartwrighti Young, 1968 View in CoL
( Fig. 2E–F View FIGURE 2 , Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 )
External morphology. Characters of external morphology as in generic description by Young (1968: 57–59).
Female genitalia. Abdominal sternite VII ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ), in ventral view, subrectangular, approximately 1.5 times wider than long; lateral margins slightly convergent posteriorly and sinuous, with a submedian lobe; ventral surface uniformly setose, except at base; posterior margin with rounded lateral corners and prominent narrow median projection with rounded apex. Sternite VIII completely membranous. Pygofer ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ), in lateral view, produced posteriorly and directed a little upwards; apex almost truncate; surface with longer microsetae along central, ventral, and posterior regions, and shorter microsetae uniformly distributed over all surface, except near base. First valvifer ( Fig. 4C View FIGURE 4 ), in lateral view, almost rounded. First valvula ( Fig. 4C–D View FIGURE 4 ) with dorsal sculptured area strigate on almost all dorsal surface, strigae arranged horizontally at basal third and becoming oblique towards apex; ventral sculptured area strigate, but faintly marked at apical two-thirds; apex rounded. Second valvifer ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ), in lateral view, longer than wide. Second valvula ( Fig. 4E–F View FIGURE 4 ), in lateral view, distinctly expanded beyond basal curvature with almost the same height throughout; dorsal margin with 52 separated teeth, each subtriangular, becoming gradually smaller and subquadrate towards apex; preapical prominence not distinct; apex narrowly rounded, with ventral margin smooth. Third valvula ( Fig. 4G View FIGURE 4 ), in lateral view, with basal half narrow and apical half distinctly expanded, apex broadly rounded.
