Type species. Irenangelus hornus Schulz, 1906 , by monotypy (junior subjective synonym of Agenia reversa Smith, 1873 according to Turner 1917: 357).
Distribution. Eastern Palaearctic, Neotropical, Afrotropical ( Madagascar), Oriental and Australian Regions ( Shimizu & Wahis 2007).
