Status. Pontocaspian species, endemic to Caspian Sea. Status uncertain.

Type locality. Central part of northern Caspian Sea.

Distribution. Northern Caspian Sea.

Taxonomic notes. See remarks under M. albida for uncertain species status.

Conservation status. Not assessed.
