( Figs. 9 View FIGURE 9 a–b and 9g)

Diagnosis. Medium sized orange species characterized by its ovipositor, which is shorter than the metasoma and hardly swollen at tip. This species is very close to P. quilicii , but its ovipositor is shorter and the vein 1/Cu of hind wing is generally shorter than cu-a.

Description. FEMALE (10 specimens). L: 9.6 (8.7–10.2).

Head. Face densely punctate-shagreened. Clypeus wide and transverse, sparsely punctate. Clypeal fovea deep.

Mesosoma . Densely punctate-shagreened. Scutoscutellar groove with longitudinal wrinkles. Postscutellum longitudinally striate. Propodeum coarsely punctate with distinct carinae. Hind wing with 1/Cu generally shorter than cu-a.

Metasoma. Postpetiole, tergite II and basal part of tergite III striate, the remaining tergites alutaceous and shining. Ovipositor moderately long (OTi = 1.7–2.3) and hardly swollen at apex.

Color. Yellowish-orange overall, some specimens with testaceous spots on mesonotum.

MALE. (10 specimens) L. 9.4 (9.1–9.8). Propodeal carination stronger, otherwise structurally similar to female. Body yellow orange as in female but with black parts: frons, vertex, occiput and lobes of mesonotum. Postpetiole and apex of tibia infuscate.

Distribution records. Madagascar (widely distributed).
