Distribution: Holarctic (frequent) and Neotropical.

Records in Ecuador: Zamora Chinchipe ( San Francisco Biological Reserve and Podocarpus National Park-Bombuscaro) and Loja (Podocarpus National Park-Cajanuma).

Habitat: Abandoned pasture soil. Litterbags of Puteria sp., Cavendishia zamorensis , Mollinedia sp. , Graffenrieda emarginata , Clusia spp. and Hediosmum sp.
