Notes.

Caucanthus comprises only two currently accepted species (no threatened species; Suppl. material 1) of shrubs or lianas endemic to seasonally dry tropical forests of east Africa ( Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe) and the Arabic Peninsula ( Saudi Arabia and Yemen; POWO 2024).
