This species is easily distinguished from procerus Emery   HNS and foveolatus Andre   HNS by its more slender form, smoother surface between the foveolae, the more rectangular head, more elongated and narrower mandibles, longer funiculi, longer petiole, and more distinct mesoepinotal suture.
