Distribution
Data on B. bliteus are available from several countries bordering the western Mediterranean. Although we still have few data, we can consider it a common species throughout the Iberian Peninsula. It has already been recorded in the District of Beja ( Cardoso 2004) and in the Castro Verde area ( Silva 2004). It is one of the smallest species of the genus; it is closely linked to the ground, where it goes unnoticed thanks to its cryptic colouring and its defensive staticity.

The morphological characters of this species have made it fluctuate between several genera ( Xysticus C. L. Koch, 1835, Ozyptila Simon, 1864 and Bassaniodes Pocock, 1903).
