Distribution in Iran: Golestan, Mazandaran ( Amini et al. 2020), West Azarbaijan ( Samin et al. 2018a).
General distribution: Algeria, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Belarus, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Russia (South European Territory), “Siberia”, Slovakia, Spain, Tadzhikistan, Turkey, Ukraine.
Habitat: This species inhabits hard basidiomes of a very limited number of tinder fungus species. In Europe, we collected it only in Fomes fomentarius , and according to literature data it may be Ganoderma and Phellinus ( Amini et al. 2020) .
Comments: Reared from fungi on Fagus orientalis (Fagaceae) and Populus sp. (Salicaceae) ( Amini et al. 2020).
