Distribution in Iran: Fars ( Samin et al. 2018b).
General distribution: Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Russia (Central, North and South European Territory), Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, former Yugoslavia.
Habitat: In Europe, this species was found by us in hard basidiomes of tinder fungus: Fomes fomentarius and Fomitopsis pinicola .
Comments: Plutothrix acuminata (Thomson, 1878) ( Hymenoptera : Pteromalidae ), 2♀♀, was collected from Cis lineatocribratus in Fars province (Kazerun) .
