Distribution in Iran: Guilan ( Amini et al. 2020), Iran (no exact locality cited) ( Jelínek 2008).

New material examined: East Azarbaijan province, Arasbaran forest , 3 ex., A . Ahmadi leg., 26.vii.2015 .

General distribution: Algeria, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Belarus, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Mongolia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia (Central, North and South European Territory, Far East), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, “Transcaspia”, Ukraine.

Habitat: In Europe, this species develops in basidiomes of tinder fungus with soft or leathery consistency: different species of the genus Trametes ( T. suaveolens (L.) Fr., T. versicolor (L.) Lloyd, T. hirsuta (Wulfen) Lloyd , T. ochracea (Pers.) Gilb. & Ryvarden , T. pubescens (Schumach.) Pilát , etc.), Bjerkandera fumosa (Pers.) P.Karst. , Cerrena unicolor (Bull.) Murrill , Gloeophyllum trabeum (Pers.) Murrill.

Comments: Meteorus cis (Bouché, 1834) ( Hymenoptera : Braconidae ), 1♀, 1♂, was collected from Cis boleti in East Azarbaijan province ( Arasbaran forest ) .
