Genus Hyperbrotica Bechyné & Bechyné, 1968
Hyperbrotica Bechyné & Bechyné, 1968: 26 (type species Crioceris ebraea Fabricius, 1787 , by original designation).
Remarks
This genus contains a single species, H. ebraea (Fabricius, 1787) , with two named subspecies. The distribution is in northern South America. The tarsal claws are bifid in males. However, the inner claw lobe on the hind leg is slightly broader than the inner lobe on the front and middle legs. Females have appendiculate tarsal claws. See Fig. 92 View Figs 91–99 for a habitus illustration.
