Type: SOUTH AMERICA. Costa Rica “Rio Naranjo (Tonduz n. 3077/ F)” (holotype G!)
Note: The type specimen of T. parvibracteata is from Costa Rica and the record from Java ( Söderström et al. 2010: 102) is erroneous. Eifrig (1937) did not mention this species in his monograph of Indomalayan Taxilejeunea .
