Diagnosis. This species is similar to P. derecta Wang , sp. nov. in the shape of the male genitalia. It can be distinguished from the latter by the uncus narrowed to a pointed apex, the valva produced into two lobes distally, and the cornus being a large thorn. In P. derecta , the uncus is widened distally to a straight apex, the valva is beak-like distally, and the cornus is absent.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1‒7 ). Wingspan 7.0‒8.0 mm. Head white, occiput brownish ocherous yellow. Labial palpus with second segment yellow, third segment white except distal 1/4 black. Antenna with scape white, black apically on dorsal surface; flagellum white alternated with black on dorsal surface, white alternated with dark brown on ventral surface. Collar, thorax and tegula pale brownish yellow except thorax white posteriorly. Forewing orange yellow, darker in distal 1/3; with three white fasciae: basal fascia at proximal base; antemedian fascia extending from about basal 1/5 of costal margin obliquely outward to about middle of dorsum, widened anteriorly; postmedian fascia from basal 2/3 of costal margin straight to before end of tornus, anterior half enlarged sub-quadrately, with scattered black scales on outer margin, posterior half narrow, with grey scales and a few black scales on outer margin; apical patch white, ovate, margined with black scales; termen with dense black scales, with a small white dot at about middle between postmedian fascia and apex; cilia ochreous yellow, mixed with black-tipped scales. Hindwing and cilia grey.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 12‒14 ). Uncus elongate, wide at base, slightly narrowed to pointed apex. Tegumen gradually narrowed anteriorly. Valva narrow at base, widened to distal 1/3, ventral margin concave semicircularly on distal 1/3; apex bilobed: dorsal lobe slender, with sparse setae; ventral lobe wider and longer than dorsal lobe, digitate, with dense spines along ventral margin. Costa convex beyond middle. Sacculus with basal half smoothly narrow, distal half widened rectangularly, with dense setae. Saccus subparallel to before rounded apex, slightly longer than uncus. Juxta folded inward laterobasally, produced in triangle distally; anterior lobe slender, longer than juxta. Aedeagus almost as long as valva, sclerotized distally; cornutus large, thorn-like.

Female unknown.

Distribution. China (Hainan).

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin venter and concavus, referring to the valva ventrally concave on distal 1/3.
