Diagnosis.
The species is characterized in the male by the matt dorsal surface of the entire body and the long seta-range on the inner margin of the protibial, and in the female by the elytra usually without black stripes. The female can be distinguished from other members of Cyclommatus by the following combination of characters:1) ground color of the dorsal surface of the body redder; 2) canthus often short, with lateral end blunt, and usually with a convex or straight outer margin; 3) central black band on the pronotum clearly defined and often narrower than the lateral orange band ( Huang and Chen 2017).
Distribution.
China (Yunnan, Shaanxi, Chongqing, Guizhou, Fujian, Taiwan Island, Guangdong, Guangxi).
