Type species: Onorelucanus aequatorianus Bartolozzi & Bomans, 1989 ( Bartolozzi & Bomans 1989: 53) , by original designation.

The following species are now included in the genus Onorelucanus , which is in need of revision. Onorelucanus is also in need of redescription and redefinition with respect to several South American genera, such as Aegognathus Leuthner , to which they appear to be closely related.
