Type:— CHINA. Taiwan: Arisan, elev. 7000–8000 ped., 1912, B. Hayata & S. Sasaki s.n. (TI!).

Quang Tri Province: Huong Hoa District, Bac Huong Hoa Nature Reserve, Huong Phung Commune , Chênh Vênh villige, along Sa Mu stream, 16°48’12.06”N, 106°35’55.52”E, elev. ca. 1300 m, 19 November 2014, Li Bing Zhang, Liang Zhang & Ngan T. Lu 7576 ( VNMN!, CDBI!) GoogleMaps .

Distribution:— China ( Taiwan, S Yunnan), Laos, N Thailand, Vietnam.

Notes:— Arachniodes globisora bears some morphological features which can be recognized for its identification, such as, a large plant, a rhizome and stipe base densely with reddish brown, linear-lanceolate, and soft scales, a 3- or 4-pinnate and papery lamina, a glabrescent rachis, shallowly pinnatifid pinnule margins, lobes tipped with 2 or 3 mucronate sharp teeth, and sori closer to the midvein than to the lobe margin. A. globisora is known from Taiwan and south Yunnan only in China, but our fieldwork found that this species is quite common in Vietnam and ranged from North to South-Central Vietnam.
