( Figs 22 View FIGURES 17–24 , 69 View FIGURES 66–69 )

Type material: Holotype ♀, BRUNEI, Agathis forest , Badas (4°34'N, 114°26'E), 30.5 m, 25−26.ii.1982, leg. G. S. Robinson, BM 1982−156, genitalia slide No. BMNH-33547 ( BMNH). GoogleMaps

Description. Imago ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 17–24 ) with wingspan 8.5 mm. Head with vertex shining white, frons yellowish brown, occiput dark brown. Labial palpus very short, with basal segment yellow, second segment gray except black at apex; third segment with basal 2/3 white, distal 1/3 black, almost same length as second. Antenna with scape white, pecten dark brown; flagellum with dorsal surface white in basal 3/5, dark brown in distal 2/5 except two flagellomeres white at basal 2/3 and 4/5, ventral surface white and black in basal 2/3, dark brown in distal 1/3. Patagium white, thorax and tegula dark ochreous brown, tegula white near costal margin. Forewing dark ochreous brown; markings white edged with dense black scales: basal streak from base of fold to basal 1/5 of dorsal margin; a sinuate fascia first from near base to 1/5 along costal margin, then extending obliquely to 3/5 of dorsal margin, next extending upward to lower angle of cell, and finally extending downward to tornus, broader along costal margin; a large spot from middle to 3/5 along costal margin, then narrowed posteriorly to middle near end of cell; apex with a large white patch occupying about distal 1/6; cilia white along distal part of costal margin, gray mixed with black scales in basal 3/5 and yellow in distal 2/5 along termen, gray along distal part of dorsal margin, tinged with white at tornus. Hindwing dark gray, cilia gray. Foreleg black, tibia with white spot at base and middle on dorsal surface, with a tuft of short white scales at apex, tarsus with white spots on dorsal surface; midleg with tibia and tarsus yellow on ventral surface, black on dorsal surface, tibia with a white spot at base, with a tuft of long white scales at middle and apex on dorsal surface, tarsus with white spots on dorsal surface; hindleg yellowish white on ventral surface, gray on dorsal surface, tarsus yellowish white on dorsal surface.

Male unknown.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 69 View FIGURES 66–69 ). Apophysis anterioris about 2/3 length of apophysis posterioris, both apophyses expanded distally. Lamella postvaginalis large, nearly triangular, anterior margin straight, lateral sides folded, posterior margin rounded and concave in V shape medially, with dense spinules postero-laterally; with two elongately triangular lateral processes directing backward at posterior 1/4, with a small wart near its apex. Ostium bursae large, mouth shaped. Antrum large, about 3/5 length of ductus bursae, broad posteriorly, slightly narrowed anteriorly, roundly projected at middle on posterior margin. Ductus bursae straight and thick, membranous except posterior 1/4 sclerotized; ductus seminalis arising from posterior end. Corpus bursae small, rounded, membranous; with two small, bar-shaped signa margined with teeth.

Diagnosis. This new species can be separated from its congeners by the forewing having a sinuate white fascia from near base of costa to tornus; the lamella postvaginalis with two elongately triangular, lateral processes at posterior 1/4, the antrum roundly projected at middle on posterior margin and the two bar-shaped signa margined with teeth in the female genitalia.

Distribution. Brunei (Badas).

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin sinualis (= sinuate), referring to the forewing having a sinuate white fascia.
