Material. Assigned specimen GSC 135232 from horizon TCM 2.
Discussion. A single small pygidium from horizon TCM 2 represents an acanthoparyphine, but is obviously distinct from those of either of the cooccurring C. tiffanyae or K. stougei . The first and second axial rings have a prominent median tubercle, the third ring seems weakly differentiated from the tiny terminal piece, and the spines are quite long. All dorsal surfaces have prominent tuberculate sculpture. As the spines are connected for most of their length, we tentatively assign the specimen to Kawina . However, the spines taper to a sharp point, whereas in all named species of Kawina they are blunt or subquadrate. More material would obviously be required for any confident assessment of affinity.
