Treatment

Euproctus abjectus Bates, 1883a: 196. Type locality: "Almolonga [Veracruz], Mexico" (original citation for the lectotype). Lectotype (♂), designated by Shpeley (1986: 291), in BMNH.

Euproctus texanus Wickham, 1897: 109. Type locality: "Brownsville [Cameron County] Texas" (lectotype label). Lectotype (♀), designated by Shpeley (1986: 292), in USNM. Synonymy established by Shpeley (1986: 292).

Distribution.

This species is found from southern California and southeastern Texas south to Guatemala and southern Baja California [see Shpeley 1986: map 4].
