Notes: Specimens recorded as Acanthostomum scyphocephalum ( Thatcher, 1964) ; this species was included in the genus Proctocaecum ( Lamothe-Argumedo & Ponciano-Rodríguez, 1985) . The most recently revision of the genus ( Brooks, 2004), excludes the four species listed above.
