DISTRITO FEDERAL: Lago de Xochimilco: Lithobates sp. (CNHE). ESTADO DE MÉXICO: Ciénaga de Lerma: Lithobates sp. ( Caballero, 1941b) ; Lithobates montezumae ( Caballero, 1941b) ; Pérez-Ponce de León et al., 2000); Lago de Texcoco: Lithobates montezumae (CNHE) .

Specimens deposited: CNHE (814-15, 1425, 1555, 3394, 5341).

Notes: This species was considered a junior synonym of Haematoloechus longiplexus ( León-Règagnon et al., 1999) , but recently it was validated on molecular grounds ( León-Règagnon & Paredes-Calderón, 2002). Holotype lost.
