Notes: This species was originally described as Leptodera elongata ( Baird, 1858) , and subsequently tranferred to Spironoura ( Walton, 1932) and then to Megalobatrachonema (Chabaudgolvania) ( Baker, 1986a) . The genus Spironoura is a synonym of Falcaustra ( Teixeira de Freitas & Lent, 1941) , and Chabaudgolvania is an independent genus ( Richardson & Adamson, 1990). Specimens of Dyer (1986) and Dyer and Brandon (1973) were recorded as Falcaustra elongata ; those of Caballero and Bravo-Hollis (1938) as Spironoura elongata and material of Dyer (1988) as Megalobatrachonema (Chabaudgolvania) elongata .
