M a t e r i a l e x a m i n e d Romania: 1 ex., Oraviţa env., Marilla ( HNHM) ; 2 exs., Băile Herculane ( HNHM). Turkey: 1 ex., Isparta, Eğridir ; Kovada, V.1973, leg. Bernhauer ( SMNS) .

C o m m e n t: Medon rufiventris , which is apparently associated with dead wood, has an expansive Ponto-Mediterranean distribution ( Assing 2004a, 2005a, 2005b, 2006). For a map see ASSING (2006).
