C o m m e n t: The Adriato-Mediterranean distribution of M. perniger ranges from Sicily in the south to southeastern France and southern Switzerland in the north ( ASSING 2006). Previously, only a paratype of M. perniger fraudulentus COIFFAIT 1978, a junior syonym of M. perniger , was examined ( ASSING 2006).
