The genus Aulonops was synonymized with Hypergonatopus by Noyes and Hayat (1984). Guerrieri and Viggiani (2005) synonymized Hypergonatopus with Cheiloneurus View in CoL but failed to list Aulonops as a new synonym of Cheiloneurus View in CoL . In the interest of nomenclatural stability, I hereby amend this error.
