Hylaeus (Hylaeus) sidensis ( WARNCKE, 1981) View in CoL – ITIS (2020).

Material examined: Adana: Pozantı , 37°25N 34°52E 06.07.1983, 2 , leg. J. Hladil (coll. Kocourek). Hatay: Payas, 10.04.2002, 3 , 2 , leg P. Bogusch (coll. P. Bogusch); Samandağı 30 km N, Nur dağları, 06.07.1996, , leg. Brechtel GoogleMaps /Ehrmann.

Remarks: H. sidensis was described from Antalya, Adana, Kilis, İzmir and Mersin as well as from Israel and Lebanon ( WARNCKE 1981). The present study adds the province Hatay. The localities from which the evidence comes show that it is a thermophilic species of plains, mainly at altitudes below 1000 m, frequently found in the Mediterranean coastal region. It is an early-flying bee, from the beginning of April to July. This small and dainty species with the striking formation of the male gonoforcipes is only sparsely collected in Turkey (6 provinces).

Distribution: Eastern Mediterranean ( Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, Syria). In Turkey: Adana, Antalya (type locality), Kilis, İzmir, Mersin ( WARNCKE 1981), Hatay.
