A total 70 species and 5 subspecies in 12 genera of the subfamilies Sceliphrinae, Sphecinae and Ammophilinae are recorded in Turkey (YILDIRIM 2014, YILDIRIM et al 2016). The type localities of five species and one subspecies of this family are located in Turkey ; five species and one subspecies are endemic for Turkish fauna.
