Aphonomorphus (Euaphonus) gorochovi Cadena-Casteñada, Noriega , n. sp.

( Figs. 6–13 View FIGURES 6 – 13 )

Diagnosis. Coloration mainly reddish brown without dark spots in the body. Subgenital plate with the apex Ushaped. Tympanum slit like. First pair of ectoparameres in a hook form, sub membranous prominence similar to median lobe or process of guiding rod present. Dorsal-apical spine or lobe of epiphallus cover in the apex by a membranous transparent plate.

Holotype. ♂. Colombia, Amazonas, PNN Amacayacu, ~ 70 m. S. Otavo & J. Noriega leg. (MUD).

Paratypes. 3♂. Same data as holotype.

Description. Male (holotype). Coloration mainly reddish brown without dark spots on head, wings, legs and other body parts. Tegmina light reddish brown, nearly transparent, longitudinal strips light brown, lateral flexible region of the tegmina with dark spots all over the vein R and R+MA1. Tomentose body. Rounded head and reduced in size in comparison with the body. Central ocellus with an ovoid form like the lateral ocelli but these ones are more elongated, interocellar space moderate reduced (fig. 6). Pronotal disc with short and rounded hind median projection (figs. 7–8), metanotal gland as in Fig. 9 View FIGURES 6 – 13 . Epiproctus simple, narrowing to a narrow and rounded apex, subgenital plate elongated, 2.5 times as long as the tenth abdominal tergite, apex of the subgenital plate bilobed with the distal margin with a U-shaped. Phallic complex: Ectophallus with dorsal-apical spines (da) slightly elongated and curved backwards, sharpened apex and cover by an ovoid transparent membrane; spines (ad) extending towards the front, rectangular with the apex moderately truncated and ventrally with two small denticulations. First ectoparameres (ec), thicknesses and with the form of a hook, curving itself from the inferior margin of the genitalia towards the front, partially covering the dorsal-apical spine (ad), second ectoparameres (se), lanceolated and with a rounded apex, these are connected in the base with the first pair of ectoparameres, connecting itself later with the apodeme of endoparamere, which is thin and tubular, connected to another submembranous projection, that exceeds in the middle of ad and da (figs. 10–13).

Female. Unknown.

Measurements (mm). Total length: 23; Pronotum: 2.5; Tegmina: 17; Hind femur: 12; Hind tibia: 12.5.

Etymology. Species dedicated to Dr. Andrey V. Gorochov, eminent and great ortopterist, who produced great contributions to the taxonomic knowledge of the Podoscirtinae and ensifera in general.

Variation. The coloration of the paratypes varies in intensity, from brown reddish clear to brown yellow.
