Diagnosis. B. jussaral can easily be distinguished from B. lineatus by the characters in the key above.

Body. Male, 7.2 mm. Female, 8.5–8.6 mm to wing tip, 9.7 mm to ovipositor tip.

Protibia row PD with numerous macrosetae, 20 or more. Metatarsomere I with 4 apical platellae.

Color. As in genus description.

Male. Pygofer outer ventral process acutely triangular, pointing posterodorsad; membranous inner process very long, lobelike, extending nearly to apex of segment X. Aedeagus U-shaped with shaft longer than base; gonopore preapical, on posterior margin, situated near mid-height; apex with pair of processes each branched at their apex; segment X very large, strongly sclerotized dorsally and laterally, ventral side longer than dorsal, broader than the narrow tube-like form of B. lineatus .

Female. Sternite VII posterior margin not excavated medially

Material examined. HOLOTYPE: 1♂, BRAZIL, Jussaral, Angra-E. do Rio, X-934 [sic], L. Trav. et Lopes [ USNM] . PARATYPES: 1 ♀, same data as holotype , 1 ♀ same data as holotype except date of “X-935” [ USNM]. Separate fields on locality labels are arranged in different directions and separated here by reverse virgules. The specimens were apparently collected in October of 1934 and 1935.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality in Rio de Janeiro Prov., Brazil. The website https://mapasamerica.dices.net/ provides the coordinates of 22.95ºS 44.2667ºW for Jussaral.

Etymology. The new species is named for the defunct train station named Jussaral, near the city of Angra dos Reis, which is the type locality. The station was active ( Giesbrecht 2015) at the time the specimens were collected. The name is treated as a noun.
