Type host. Plegadis chihi (Vieillot) (Aves: Threskiornithidae ).

Site of infection. Gizzard.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Punta Blanca (34°56ʹS, 57°41ʹW).

Holotype: 3 MLP 3714/3. Paratypes: MLP 3702/4 (allotype Ƥ), MLP 3701/4 (433, 8ƤƤ), MLP 3713/5 (333), 3734/5 (233), MLP 3741/5 (1Ƥ).

Remarks. Paratypes (13, 1Ƥ) in the Institute of Parasitology, České Budĕjovice, Czech Republic.
