Lectotype (Meikle, Fl. Cyprus 2: 1869. 1985): Herb. Linn. No. 1212.7 (LINN).

Current name: Sorghum halepense (L.) Pers. (Poaceae).

Note: Snowden (in J. Linn. Soc., Bot. 55: 197. 1955) noted the existence of two collections at LINN but did not designate a type.
