Type locality: TAIWAN: Koshun [Henchun], Pingtung Co. ( Matsumura, 1907; Komatsu and Hayashi, 1998).

Coloration: Eyes yellowish brown; antenna brown, third segment dark brown; vertex brown, dark brown centrally, median carina brown to dark brown, except light brown at base. Frons in dorsal view dark brown, median carina yellow to light brown; frons in ventral view with basal part brown, central area light brown, transverse band dark brown, apical part yellow; genae and base of mouth parts brown to dark brown. Pronotum with anterior two thirds yellowish brown, posterior part brown to dark brown. Mesoscutellum brown to dark brown, yellow at tip. Tegmen ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C) dark brown, apical half brown without mark; transverse band incomplete at middle, costal margin darker than that on cubital area. Hind leg dark brown.

Structure: Head width: body width: body length= 1:1.3:2.9. Head in ventral view rhomboid, about 1.2 times wider at base than middle long; about 3.3 times wider than long from dorsal aspect. Pronotum wider than median length at widest part about 1.7:1. Tegmen ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C) subquadrate, anal margin: posterior margin: length of tegmen = 1:2.1:3.1; LBW: LMW: LT= 1:1.5:3.2. Wings ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 D) with 4 apical cells, apical cells with first longer than third 1.7:1. Wing coupling apparatus with 4 hooks ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 D) on basal part of costal margin. Hind tibia with apical spines arranged in 2 rows, upper row with 7 spines, lower one with 8 spines.

Male Genitalia: Pygofer in lateral view ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 A), wider than long about 1.3:1; basal margin of pygofer reclined apically, curved basally at ventral third, then protruding basally and curved ventrally; dorsal process of pygofer conelike, directed posteriorly; ventral process of pygofer developed, length 0.5 times that of ventral margin of pygofer, ventral process at widest part narrower than basal width of pygofer about 1:5.5. Pygofer subquadrate in ventral view ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 B), cleft at middle of apical margin, ventral process produced, bilobed, about 0.2 times median length of pygofer; each lobe about 0.2 times as wide as pygofer. Aedeagus, trapezoidal in lateral view ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 E). Genital styles ( Figs. 4 View FIGURE 4 C, 4D) with width of apical part about 0.8 times length (WAGS: LAGS= 1:1.2) on outer side, margins prominent on inner side, complete.

Distribution: China (Xizang, Sichuan, Yunnan, Fujian, and Hainan), Taiwan (included Lutao Is. and Orchid Is.), Philippines (Luzon), Indonesia ( Flores Is. and Lombok Is.).

Host plants: The species is widespread in Taiwan. Most of our examined specimens were collected either in Malaise traps or sweeping nets. We have found the nymphs on Elatostema lineolatum Forst. var. major Thwait. (Urticaceae) and Rhus semialata Murr. var. roxburghiana DC. ( Anacardiaceae ) in the field.
