Neotype (Podlech in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 479. 1997): France. Haute-Savoie: in petrosis montis “Vergy” prope “Brizon”, 2,300m, Jul 1898, J. Thimothée s.n. [Herbarium Normale, editum ab I. Dörfler, No. 4240] (M; iso- BM).
Current name: Astragalus frigidus (L.) A. Gray ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).
Note: Although Greuter (in Candollea 23: 265. 1968) stated that 925.5 and 925.6 (LINN) typify this name, these collections do not appear to be original material, and are not part of a single gathering (Art. 9.15). In the absence of any original material, Podlech designated a neotype.
