Notes

The species has been recorded by the synonymous name N. nebeloides . It should be noted that Mazei and Warren (2014) erroneously synonymised D. nebeloides with D. linearis (Penard, 1890) Gautier-Lièvre et Thomas, 1958, because they have not taken into account the fact that this species has recently been transferred from the genus Difflugia into the genus Nebela and subsequently in the newly described genus Padaungiella ( Todorov et al. 2010, Kosakyan et al. 2012).
