(Pls 1D, 3¯5D, 7D; Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 )
Drosophila (Hirtodrosophila) tripartita Okada, 1966: 78 View in CoL .
Drosophila (Lordiphosa) tripartita: Okada, 1990: 154 View in CoL .
Lordiphosa tripartita: Zhang, 1993: 145 View in CoL .
Diagnosis. Cercus ventrally elongated, with a tuft of ca. 6 spines around ventral apex ( Fig. 6C,D,F View FIGURE 6 ). Hypandrial caudolateral lobes unpubescent ( Fig. 6I View FIGURE 6 ̄K). Paramere broad, flat, apically pointed, gently curved ventrad, bowshaped in lateral view ( Fig. 6K,L View FIGURE 6 ). Gonopods rounded around caudoventral corners, dorsomedially roundly concaved in lateral view ( Fig. 6L View FIGURE 6 ).
Description (characters commonly seen in L. denticeps not repeated) (♂). Head (Pls 1D, 3̄5D, 7D): Frontal vitta yellowish brown to brown. Fronto-orbital yellowish brown. Ocellar triangle brown. Occiput brown, dorsally yellowish brown. Postgena yellowish brown, brown near occiput. Antennal 1 st flagellomere pale yellow; arista with 4 dorsal and 2 ventral branches. Supracervical setulae 13¯15 per side; postocular setae 13–16 per side. Clypeus brown. Cibarium with 25–28 medial and ca. 15 posterior sensilla per side. Prementum with 5 (1 proximal, 2 lateral, and 2 distal) pairs of setae.
Thorax (Pl. 1D): Postpronotal lobe anteriorly grayish. Mesonotum medially with 1 brown, longitudinal, caudally broadened stripe. Scutellum brown, laterally paler. Acrostichal setulae in ca. 6 irregular rows. Mid katepisternal seta distinctly longer than those below it.
Legs (Pl. 1D, Fig. 6A,B View FIGURE 6 ): Male foreleg with 1–2, 1–2, and 1 transverse sex-combs on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tarsomeres, respectively; each transverse row consisting of 2–4 brown, not so thick teeth. Foreleg 1 st tarsomere slightly shorter than total length of 4 succeeding tarsomeres.
Abdomen (Pl. 1D): Tergites pale grayish brown, glossy, caudally without bands.
Male terminalia ( Fig. 6C–L View FIGURE 6 ): Epandrium with ca. 24 long setae per side; ventral lobe apically not rounded. Cercus laterally strongly sclerotized, pubescent except for lateral margin, with ca. 19 long setae. Surstylus with a row of ca. 14 prensisetae on caudodorsal margin and ca. 34 recurved setae on ventral portion of inner surface. Aedeagus basally membranous, submedially to basally sheathed by gonopods; apodeme rod-shaped, not dilated apically, much shorter than aedeagus.
