M a t e r i a l s t u d i e d: Holotype: Zhejiang, Baishanzu conv., 1250-1650 m, Hu, Tang & Zhu 21.VIII.2004 ( SNUC); paratypes: same data, 3 ( SNUC), 1 (cB).

D e s c r i p t i o n: Length of body about 7 mm; from anterior margin of head to posterior margin of elytra: 4 mm. Winged. Body without micro-sculpture. Reddish brown, characterized by head with fine, deep, dense puncturation on all the surface; pronotum with deep, dense punturation, apart a narrow median strip; elytra with fine, deep punturation, arranged in numerous series. Head dilated posteriad; eyes small and a little protruding. Head, pronotum and elytra with almost the same lenght. Elytra with rounded humeral angles.

Posterior margin of 6° visible abdominal tergite with a small median lobe; posterior margin of 6° visible abdominal sternite scarcely rounded. Male genital segment as in Fig. 134 View Figs 134-139 ; sternite of the same as in Fig. 135 View Figs 134-139 . Aedeagus ( Fig. 136 View Figs 134-139 ) 1,66 mm long, subspherical, with asymmetric, short pseudoparameres; inner sac with some series of thin spines.

E t y m o l o g y: The specific epithet refers to the Latin subruber- a- um (reddish).

G e o g r a p h i c a l d i s t r i b u t i o n: The species is known only from the type locality, in Yunnan.

N o t e: This specie differs from the congeners by the particular puncturation of the forebody and aedeagus.
