Acmopolynema narendrani ( Hedqvist 2004) , comb. n.

Baburia narendrani Hedqvist 2004: 235 View in CoL , 236, 239. Type locality: Kataragama , Monaragala District, Sri Lanka.

Type material examined

Holotype female (on card, K.-J. Hedqvist collection, c/o NHRS), labeled: 1. " Sri Lanka, Manaragala didstrict [sic], Kataragama, 18.IV.1979, Skog. leg. Michael Söderlund "; 2. (red) " HOLOTYPUS female Baburia narendrani sp. n. K-J Hedqvist 2002".

Diagnosis

Member of the orientale species group. FEMALE. This species is similar to A. malabaricum in having a long, markedly projecting ovipositor and long antennal funicle segments, but it has F2 and F3 mostly dark (light brown in A. malabaricum and A. orientale ) and the forewing with 3 dark spots, the middle one with 2 tracks of modified setae and the large apical spot with 3 tracks of modified setae and without numerous normal setae (with such setae in A. malabaricum ); thus the forewing is somewhat similar to that of A. dravida (= A. orientale ) but in the latter the forewing blade has just one track of modified setae on the middle dark spot. The "V"-shaped carinae on the propodeum in A. narendrani are a little longer than in A. malabaricum but still much shorter than in A. orientale , not reaching anterior margin of the propodeum.

MALE. Unknown.

Distribution Sri Lanka.
