Type locality. Described from Ficarazzi † and Palermo (Sicily), Atlantic.

Remarks. The name may be regarded as introduced in 1877c having been adopted as the name of a taxon in 1880b ( ICZN, 1999: art. 11.6.1). It is a junior synonym of Yoldia striolata Brugnone, 1876 . La Perna (2008a: 16) figured syntypes of both Yoldia striolata (now ascribed to Yoldiella Verrill & Bush, 1897 ) and Y. producta . Recorded by MolluscaBase (2018) as a synonym of Yoldiella striolata (Brugnone, 1876) .
