Distribution: Japan, Kunashir Isl and Kurile Isls ( Russia), SE Siberia, Korea.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Koopman (1993) included fimbriatus in this species and noted that it was probably conspecific with capaccinii (see Wallin, 1969), but see Corbet (1978 c), Yoshiyuki (1989), and Corbet and Hill (1992), who argued that fimbriatus and capaccinii are distinct species. Reviewed in part by Yoshiyuki (1989) and Yoon (1990).
